About Lightning Reflexes
Lightning Reflexes, Combat, designed by Michael Astrachan, Eric Lofgren first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
Lightning Reflexes fits a **CEL combat deck** that can turn every extra strike into meaningful damage—especially one using a weapon—and whose vampires can afford to spend blood. Its appeal is the option to buy *more than two* additional strikes in one round, but the printed cost plus X blood makes that an expensive plan, particularly if the opposing vampire can end combat or avoid the strikes. **Blur is usually the better default:** at superior Celerity it gives two additional strikes for a more predictable cost. I’d play Lightning Reflexes only if the deck has reliable blood gain and regularly needs a third or later strike; otherwise, Blur deserves the slots.

The burn blood effect is not reduced by effects that reduce the cost of the card (eg. {Adana de Sforza}). [ANK 20210226]
