[for] If an effect causes a new combat to occur at the end of combat, then the "go to torpor" effect will be delayed until after that new combat. However, the vampire will no longer benefit from Undead Persistence in the new combat, so it will end immediately with the vampire not ready unless he plays a new Undead Persistence in the new combat.
