Blight 最适合以 Necromancy 为基础的战斗或拦截-战斗牌组，尤其是已经经常进行战斗、希望在决定距离前削弱敌方吸血鬼的 Giovanni、Harbinger、Samedi 或 Nagaraja 构筑；其高级效果对依赖额外打击或压制的牌组尤其有价值，例如使用 Potence、Celerity 或 Animalism 战斗的牌组。不过，它通常更像是一张针对环境的牌，而非必备牌：低级效果仅提供幅度有限的 -1 力量，而高级效果适用范围狭窄，对普通的打击型战斗毫无作用。根据牌组的异能分布和策略，Immortal Grapple、Carrion Crows、Disarm、Taste of Vitae 或 Theft of Vitae 等牌通常能提供更可靠的战斗影响。只有在专门的 Necromancy 战斗牌组中、并且预计会面对大量多重打击或重压制的对手时，Blight 才值得使用；否则，其有限的效果使它很容易被省略。
