[FOR]Cannot be used if there is no damage to prevent. [LSJ 20001114]
08/10/2026
[FOR]If fewer points of (preventable) damage are being resolved, then the effect prevents all of those points. [RTR 20041202]
08/10/2026
[for]The optional press can only be used during the current round. [TOM 19960521]

[FOR]Unused prevention points can't be carried over unless optional ('can/may prevent'). [ANK 20200318] [LSJ 20001114]
08/10/2026
Sequencing rules apply, and if played first, effects that stop a vampire from going to torpor would prevent the use of effects that are only usable on a vampire going to torpor. [RTR 20010711]
08/10/2026
[for] Cannot be used twice by the same vampire during the same combat: because of the first, the vampire is not going into torpor and does not meet the requirement to play it anymore. [LSJ 20030214]
08/10/2026
[for] If an effect causes a new combat to occur at the end of combat, then the "go to torpor" effect will be delayed until after that new combat. However, the vampire will no longer benefit from Undead Persistence in the new combat, so it will end immediately with the vampire not ready unless he plays a new Undead Persistence in the new combat. [LSJ 20030214] [ANK 20190624]
