Trainer

Over Trainer

Trainer, Action, ontworpen door Steve Prescott voor het eerst uitgebracht in november 2003 in de set Black Hand.

Trainer fits an Animalism rush or combat deck that expects to face other Animalism decks or troublesome animal retainers. At superior Animalism, it taxes opposing vampires during your actions and combats while switching off other minions’ animal retainers; at inferior, it can steal one instead. Its drawback is that the superior effect is matchup-dependent and does nothing while your vampire is idle. For most Animalism decks, **Deep Song** is a better use of an action-card slot because it advances your plan directly through bleeding or entering combat. I would play Trainer as a one-of only if your local metagame has enough Animalism and animal retainers to justify it, not as a general staple.
