Over Roll
Roll, Combat, ontworpen door Eric Lofgren voor het eerst uitgebracht in november 2005 in de set Legacies of Blood.
Roll benefits combat decks that need reliable maneuver access, especially decks that fight at close range and want to avoid opposing ranged strikes or keep an opponent within range. It is a free, replaceable combat trick, but its delayed replacement and once-per-round limit make it less efficient than reusable or more flexible options: for vampires with Flight, **Swallowed by the Night** is generally better because it provides maneuver or press and can be reused from the ash heap while the vampire remains ready; **Blur** is also stronger when you want a maneuver plus additional strike options. Roll can still be worthwhile in a Flight-focused deck that wants another maneuver without spending blood or adding a discipline requirement, but it is usually a low-priority inclusion rather than a staple.
