Rogue

About Rogue

Rogue, Master, designed by Brian LeBlanc first released in april 2009 in the set 2009 Tournament / Storyline promo.

Rogue fits a **niche combat deck with Auspex** that wants to punish a vampire for committing diablerie: it costs no pool, is a trifle, and gives Auspex vampires +1 stealth when they use the rush it creates. For most combat decks, **Bum’s Rush** is a better way to start combat because it does not depend on an opponent having committed diablerie; **Haven Uncovered** is a better master-card option if you want a particular vampire to remain attackable without that condition. Rogue also lets *other players’* vampires attack the marked vampire, which can be useful politically but may not help you. I would not make it a regular deck slot unless your playgroup has frequent diablerie and your deck can capitalize on the resulting combats; otherwise, its trigger is too unreliable.
