About Psyche!
Psyche!, Combat, designed by Jeff Menges, Eric Lofgren first released in augustus 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.
Psyche! belongs in a combat-focused deck with reliable superior Celerity ([CEL]), especially a rush or bruise-bleed deck that wants another chance to hurt a minion after they play a strike that ends combat. It can also queue a second combat after an ordinary combat ends, while its inferior [cel] press is a useful fallback. There is no universal better replacement: Immortal Grapple is often stronger for a Potence deck built around hand strikes because it prevents strikes that end combat, but it imposes restrictions that Psyche! does not; if you only want a press, a card with additional useful effects may earn its slot instead. Yes, Psyche! should see play when your deck can consistently use [CEL] and expects opponents to escape combat, but it is usually too narrow if you can only play it at [cel].
