About Command the Legion
Command the Legion, Action, designed by Jeff Laubenstein first released in september 2007 in the set Lords of the Night.
Command the Legion is best in a Dominate control or toolbox deck built around a large-capacity vampire, where one successful action can lock several opposing minions and create a decisive tempo swing; it is particularly attractive against ally-heavy decks or weenie swarms, although the age restriction and need to successfully pass an action make it unreliable against ordinary vampire-heavy tables. Better options usually exist: **Mind Numb** is more dependable for locking a key vampire, **Grave Robbing** or **Entrancement** can permanently remove or steal allies, and **Banishment** can handle a problematic vampire regardless of its age, while standard Dominate decks generally gain more from additional bleed, stealth, or wake/control cards. Command the Legion can be powerful as a one-of in a high-capacity Dominate toolbox or metagame-specific anti-ally deck, but it should not see broad competitive play because it is situational, gives no stealth or additional benefit, and spends your act
