Carrion Crows benefits Animalism combat decks, especially rush, intercept-wall, and combat-control decks that can reliably force or extend combats with maneuvers, presses, and additional rounds, since its environmental damage bypasses the opposing minion’s strike choice and is particularly strong against low-strength or strike-focused vampires; at [ANI], 2R per round is a serious threat. There is no universally better replacement for this specific effect: Aid from Bats is cheaper in blood and can provide immediate damage plus a press, while Deep Song is generally more versatile because it can rush, maneuver, or press, but neither applies comparable recurring environmental damage. Carrion Crows should see play when the deck has enough Animalism vampires and a meaningful combat plan, commonly as a small package of roughly 2–4 copies, but it is less attractive in toolbox decks that cannot consistently enter or prolong combat, or in combat decks whose strategy depends on ending fights imme
