About Burning Touch
Burning Touch, Action modifier/combat, designed by Leif Jones first released in december 2001 in the set Bloodlines and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Burning Touch fits a Valeren bleed deck that wants blocks to be awkward: at [val], it costs no blood to make a blocker burn a blood or life before combat, then lets that minion back out; at [VAL], it provides a free +1 bleed when no block is likely. The [tha] strike is a useful fallback against Fortitude prevention, but one damage is not enough to make this a dedicated combat card. In a deck with access to Dominate, Conditioning is usually the stronger bleed modifier (+2 bleed at [dom], +3 at [DOM]), though it costs a blood and does not discourage blocks. I would play Burning Touch in a Valeren-focused bleed deck that can exploit both modifier options, but not include it just for the strike or as a substitute for stronger bleed cards in a deck that can run them.

If the action is blocked, *all* effects that would be triggered by a successful block (eg. {Banshee Ironwail}) must be applied (ordered by the acting Methuselah). When played, a multi-Disciplines card counts as requiring the Discipline(s) being used. In the hand, library, or ash heap, the card is considered to require any and/or all Disciplines listed on it. [LSJ 20011204-3] [PIB 20130704]
