About Weirding Stone
Weirding Stone, Equipment, designed by Matthew Mitchell first released in November 2003 in the set Black Hand and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Weirding Stone is most useful in a Tzimisce wall or toolbox deck that expects long games, can afford an equip action, and wants to suppress master-heavy strategies—especially decks relying on Villein, Minion Tap, Giant’s Blood, Sudden Reversal, or other key masters—while the vampire can regularly spare a blood; it also becomes more appealing alongside library-top manipulation, though it is otherwise highly unreliable because it only affects the top card, does nothing against non-master cards, requires an equipment action, and gives no value unless the opponent’s next card is important. In most decks, Sudden Reversal is better because it can immediately burn any master card when played, while Wash is often better when simply canceling a master card is sufficient; both are more flexible and do not require dedicating a vampire, equipment slot, and blood-management plan. Weirding Stone should generally not see play in competitive decks, except as a metagame choice in a slow Tzimisce contro
