About Shroudsight
Shroudsight, Action modifier, designed by Jeff Holt first released in September 2007 in the set Lords of the Night and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Shroudsight best fits a Giovanni or Necromancy toolbox deck that repeatedly takes valuable Necromancy/Giovanni actions and wants to reuse a key action card—or, at superior Necromancy, recover a useful card played during that action. It is narrow and puts the card on top of your library rather than back in your hand, so it only helps after you draw through the cards above it; it also doesn’t make the action more likely to succeed. **Ashur Tablets** offer broader, more flexible ash-heap recovery in a deck built to support them, but they are not a like-for-like replacement and require a larger commitment. Shroudsight is therefore a reasonable one-of or small toolbox inclusion when you have a specific action worth recurring, but it is not a staple and I would generally leave it out of streamlined decks.
