About Savannah Runner
Savannah Runner, Reaction, designed by Vince Locke first released in May 2009 in the set Ebony Kingdom.
Savannah Runner is best in a Laibon wall or toolbox deck built around **cel/CEL**, especially one that wants to defend with several vampires and can use a tapped, nonblocking Laibon to unlock another ready Laibon during an opponent’s action; its superior effect can effectively convert one inactive vampire into an additional blocker, while the inferior effect provides emergency intercept. However, it is narrower and generally weaker than **Eyes of Argus** when your vampires have Auspex, since Eyes of Argus provides intercept and, at superior Auspex, untaps another vampire without requiring the acting vampire or an Aye to be locked; **Forced Awakening** is also usually a better dedicated intercept option when you simply need to keep the reacting vampire active, and **Wake with Evening’s Freshness** is better when reliable untapping is the priority. Savannah Runner should see play as a specialized inclusion in a Laibon CEL wall or toolbox deck, perhaps one or two copies if the unlock effe
