About Restricted Vitae
Restricted Vitae, Event, designed by Brian LeBlanc first released in May 2004 in the set Gehenna and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Restricted Vitae fits a blood-denial deck that can keep opposing vampires low on blood while using older vampires to threaten their forced hunts with blocks or combat; it is especially awkward for opponents whose vampires would normally hunt to recover. It is not an automatic inclusion: it also restricts your own hunting, gives opponents a way to steal blood from younger vampires, and ends its draw delay only after a successful hunt. There is no strictly better card for this exact effect, but a combat deck may get more reliable pressure from **Fame**, which rewards putting a chosen vampire in torpor without depending on the table’s hunting needs. I would play Restricted Vitae as a situational one-of in a deck built to exploit it, not as a general-purpose card.
