About Resilient Mind
Resilient Mind, Action, designed by Matthew Mitchell first released in November 2003 in the set Black Hand and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Resilient Mind mainly benefits toolbox, intercept, or combat decks built around vampires with [FOR], especially those that can afford to spend blood and want protection from common Dementation, Dominate, Obeah, and Serpentis actions or combat cards; the superior version is particularly useful because it unlocks the vampire after successfully placing the card, preserving tempo. However, it is highly narrow, requires an action to set up, and its protection costs 1 blood each time, so it is usually weak outside a metagame heavily featuring those four disciplines. Direct Intervention is generally better when you need a reliable answer because it can cancel a much wider range of cards immediately, while discipline-specific solutions or broader defensive packages are often more efficient in specialized decks. Resilient Mind should not normally see competitive play as a staple, but one or two copies can be worthwhile as a metagame weapon in a [FOR] deck expecting substantial Dominate, Dementa
