Reindoctrination

About Reindoctrination

Reindoctrination, Action, designed by Heather V. Kreiter first released in November 2005 in the set Legacies of Blood.

Reindoctrination best fits a dedicated Tremere antitribu Gargoyle deck, especially a stealth-bleed, toolbox, or intercept-based build that wants to assemble several Gargoyles, remove their existing slave status, and potentially steal an opposing younger Gargoyle while putting it directly into the ready region; the unlock is a significant tempo benefit. Its closest general alternative is Entrancement, which can steal any younger vampire rather than only a Gargoyle, but Entrancement usually places that vampire in your uncontrolled region, making Reindoctrination stronger when its narrow target condition is met. In most ordinary Tremere or Tremere antitribu decks, however, it should not see play because it is unusable without Gargoyles, requires a younger target, costs 2 blood, and consumes an action; in a dedicated Gargoyle deck or a metagame where opposing Gargoyles are common, one or two copies can be worthwhile as both recruitment and theft technology.
