About Regeneration
Regeneration, Action, designed by Max Shade Fellwalker first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Regeneration is most useful in a deck that expects its vampires to survive combat but occasionally end up in torpor—especially a combat-heavy or defensive deck with enough [for]/[FOR] capacity to make the action reliable. It restores 4 or 5 blood at no blood cost and gives +1 stealth, but it is a slow, blockable action that can expose the acting vampire to diablerie, so it is generally a niche recovery option rather than a staple. If you have access to [for], **Rutor’s Hand** is often a better long-term investment for a vampire who repeatedly needs to recover from torpor, while **The Path of Harmony** can help prevent vampires from entering torpor in the first place; neither is a direct replacement, though. Regeneration can see play in a deck built to exploit its specific recovery effect, but most decks are better served by preventing torpor or using more flexible recovery options.

When the acting vampire leaves torpor before the action resolves (e.g. {Warsaw Station}) the action immediately "fizzles" (cost, if any, is paid, and it is considered successful, but has no effect). [ANK 20220218]
