About Rake (G1)
Rake (G1), Vampire, designed by Mark Tedin first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Rake best fits a Group 1 Brujah combat or Brujah vote deck that already wants a six-capacity Camarilla Prince and expects to fight Ventrue frequently, but his +1 strength is far too narrow to justify choosing him for that ability alone; against most opponents he is simply an average six-capacity vampire, and even against Ventrue the bonus is situational. In general, Rake should not see play outside a nostalgic Group 1 crypt or a deliberately Ventrue-heavy local metagame: broader and more powerful Brujah vampires such as Theo Bell provide substantially more value through stronger disciplines, superior titles, and more relevant abilities, while combat decks are usually better served by crypt vampires with reliable combat effects rather than a conditional strength bonus.
