About Purification
Purification, Action/reaction, designed by Avery Butterworth first released in February 2005 in the set Kindred Most Wanted and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Purification is a niche option for a Quietus deck with durable, multi-life allies: its inferior mode can repair an injured ally at +1 stealth, while its superior mode protects your minions from Dominate- or Presence-based actions such as Entrancement, Far Mastery, and Mind Rape. Importantly, it does **not** stop ordinary Dominate or Presence bleeds, because those target your Methuselah rather than a minion you control, and restoring just 1 life usually offers poor value for an action unless it keeps a particularly valuable ally alive. It is also useless for healing allies with only 1 starting life, since they normally burn before becoming eligible. For protection, **Direct Intervention** is generally more flexible because it can cancel the relevant action card regardless of discipline, although its pool cost and master out-of-turn timing are significant drawbacks; **The Unmasking** is often a better foundational defensive card for an ally deck, giving eligible allies permanent intercep
