About Open Dossier

Open Dossier, Reaction, designed by Becky Jollensten first released in September 2007 in the set Lords of the Night.

Open Dossier fits a contract-focused Assamite/Banu Haqim deck that wants to **block its contract targets and fight them**, especially if its combat package benefits from choosing the range. Its +2 intercept, optional maneuver, and ability to be played while locked make it potent in that matchup, but it does nothing unless the acting minion has a contract naming your vampire. For decks that can use Auspex, **Eyes of Argus** is generally the better, more flexible reaction; **Second Tradition: Domain** is stronger for eligible princes and justicars. I’d play Open Dossier as a small, specialized inclusion if contracts are central to the deck—not as a staple or your only source of intercept.
