About Neutral Guard

Neutral Guard, Action modifier, designed by William O'Connor first released in December 2001 in the set Bloodlines and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

Neutral Guard is most useful in high-capacity Salubri decks with superior Obeah that need important bleed, rescue, or other utility actions to succeed without getting dragged into close-range combat: its superior effect excludes allies and younger vampires, while its long-range effect protects against many melee weapons and aggravated hand strikes. Older vampires benefit most because fewer opposing vampires remain eligible to block; however, those remaining blockers can still stop the action, and long range offers little protection against guns or other ranged strikes.
