About Marked Path
Marked Path, Action modifier, designed by Harold Arthur McNeill, Joe Slucher first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
Marked Path is best in a dedicated stealth-bleed or stealth-action deck—especially an OBF deck that repeatedly directs actions at the same prey—because it can be set up after one successful action and later provide free +1 or +2 stealth without requiring another stealth card or blood. However, it is usually worse than direct stealth modifiers such as Lost in Crowds: Lost in Crowds provides the same +2 stealth at superior OBF immediately, works against any target, and does not require a previous successful action. Marked Path can improve card economy in a deck that routinely repeats actions against one Methuselah, but it is conditional, telegraphed, vulnerable to changing targets, and does nothing if the initial action fails; therefore it should generally not see play in standard stealth decks, though one or two copies may be reasonable in a highly focused, card-starved deck built around repeatedly bleeding the same prey.

If the set of Methuselahs includes the controller of the vampire this card is on, the controller of the vampire is not considered as part of that set of Methuselahs. [LSJ 20100527]
