About Madrigal
Madrigal, Action modifier/reaction, designed by Dennis Calero first released in December 2001 in the set Bloodlines and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Madrigal best fits a **political deck**, especially one built around a vampire with [mel], since it can add two votes during the polling step and, at [MEL], reward allies and punish opponents after the tally. It is most appealing in a vote-heavy deck that can reliably reach superior [MEL] and wants a reaction that also works when the vampire is not acting; without [MEL], it is a narrower vote boost. Whether it is worth a slot depends on your deck: **Voter Captivation** is generally a stronger all-around political card for an acting vampire because it can recover blood and supplies votes, while **Bewitching Oration** can provide more votes when you have several ready vampires to tap. Those cards are not exact replacements, though—Madrigal’s reaction timing and potential table-wide blood swing are distinctive. I’d consider it as a metagame or theme choice in a [MEL]-capable political deck, but usually not a priority over more reliable vote support.

When played, a multi-Disciplines card counts as requiring the Discipline(s) being used. In the hand, library, or ash heap, the card is considered to require any and/or all Disciplines listed on it. [LSJ 20011204-3] [PIB 20130704]

[MEL] Will have no effect if the vampire who played it abstains, even if he is forced to abstain. The effect operates on the final disposition of the vampire's votes at the time the votes are tallied. [LSJ 20020123]
