| Flavor | MacEllen's work tonight had been brutal if uninspired. It wouldn't win him much recognition from those higher up, but on the other hand it was damn difficult to argue with success. Talley, The Hound, Lasombra |

About Esteem
Esteem, Action modifier, designed by Jeff Holt first released in February 2005 in the set Kindred Most Wanted.
Esteem is most useful in a toolbox deck that regularly succeeds at **non-bleed actions directed at other Methuselahs**, letting it take the edge without spending an action. It does little for a bleed deck: a successful bleed already gives you the edge, so a modifier such as **Conditioning** is usually a better slot because it helps the bleed succeed for more. There is no universally better replacement for Esteem’s specific effect, but that effect is narrow and depends on the Methuselah you target having the edge. I would leave it out of most decks and consider it only if your deck consistently meets those conditions.
