About Elder Library
Elder Library, Master, designed by Mark Poole first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.
Elder Library is most useful in card-hungry toolbox, combat, or reaction decks that want a larger hand every turn to hold the right mix of cards. **Dreams of the Sphinx** is usually the better 1-pool master: it can give you +2 hand size when you need it, or gain you 1 pool instead. Elder Library’s advantage is that its +1 hand size is constant and requires no decision each turn, so it can still be worth a slot if your deck particularly values that consistency or wants another hand-size card alongside Dreams. Otherwise, I would generally play Dreams first and leave Elder Library out.
