Bum’s Rush benefits dedicated combat, rush, and wall decks that want to force opposing minions into combat, particularly decks using Potence, Animalism, or Celerity, where the optional maneuver helps control range; it is also useful in budget or discipline-light combat decks because it costs no blood and has no discipline requirement. However, it is not usually better than discipline-based alternatives: Animalism decks generally prefer **Deep Song**, which provides stealth as a normal action and offers a stronger rush effect at superior Animalism, while **Nose of the Hound** is a better stealth-oriented rush option; **Ambush** can also provide a stronger combat bonus when its targeting restriction and cost are acceptable. Bum’s Rush should see play in a dedicated combat deck as supplemental rush, especially if you need more action-based combat cards, but it should not be included in ordinary bleed, vote, or toolbox decks unless they have a clear plan to exploit combat.
