About Blooding by the Code
Blooding by the Code, Master, designed by Veronica Jones first released in November 2005 in the set Legacies of Blood and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Blooding by the Code is best in a dedicated Salubri antitribu Valeren deck—particularly a wall, combat, or toolbox deck—where raising a vampire from basic to superior Valeren unlocks stronger prevention and combat effects, while the +1 strength improves strikes and the extra capacity provides more blood and resilience; it is less attractive in a pure stealth-bleed deck or a deck with few Salubri antitribu, since it consumes a master slot and only benefits one vampire. There is no strictly better card for achieving all of these effects: Discipline grants the discipline increase but lacks the strength and capacity bonuses, while Advancement only improves capacity, so Blooding by the Code is generally the superior upgrade for its intended targets. It should see play in a focused Salubri antitribu build, though probably as a modest package rather than an automatic four-of, because the deck must consistently draw and benefit from its eligible vampires and Valeren enhancement.
