The Spawning Pool, Master, designed by Mark Nelson, Anson Maddocks first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Spawning Pool best fits a dedicated Nosferatu wall or intercept-combat deck—especially ANI/POT builds that reliably block bleeds, keep the resulting combat going into the second round, and control several ready Nosferatu capable of donating blood; it is particularly punishing against large bleed minions because the damage is unpreventable. However, it is slow, requires setup, consumes a unique master slot, depends on successfully blocking a bleed, and does nothing if combat ends before round two, so it is usually a cute supplemental threat rather than a staple.
