About Monster
Monster, Master, designed by Peter Bergting first released in September 2007 in the set Lords of the Night and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Monster fits a combat-heavy rush deck whose vampires reliably send opposing minions to torpor or burn them: it lets a vampire unlock after a winning combat and potentially act or block again. It is less useful if your combats usually end with both minions ready, and its blood cost and once-per-turn limit matter. If your vampires have superior Fortitude, **Freak Drive** is generally a better, more flexible way to unlock after successful actions; **Forced March** is another option for vampires with the required disciplines. Monster is worth considering in a dedicated torporizing combat deck, especially one that cannot use those alternatives, but it is not a general-purpose staple.
