About Esbat
Esbat, Action, designed by Peter Bergting first released in September 2006 in the set Third Edition.
Esbat fits a **multi-vampire Sabbat deck** that needs to keep its active vampires supplied with blood, especially one whose support vampire can spare an action. Its zero cost and built-in stealth are useful, but spending an action to gain two blood is a significant opportunity cost. There are better options when your deck can use them: **Voter Captivation** can be more rewarding in a vote deck, **Taste of Vitae** rewards a combat deck without taking a separate action, and a Sabbat hunting ground provides recurring blood without using vampire actions. I’d play Esbat only if the deck needs reliable blood gain and lacks those stronger options—not as an automatic inclusion.
Rules

If the action is unblocked when it resolves and the target is locked, the action "fizzles" (cost, if any, is paid, and it is considered successful, but has no effect). [ANK 20210124] [LSJ 20070411] [LSJ 20090514]
