About Decompose
Decompose, Action, designed by Brian LeBlanc first released in July 2018 in the set Heirs to the Blood Reprint and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Decompose fits a **Thanatosis toolbox or attrition deck** that wants to slow a key opposing minion: the stealth penalty helps against stealth actions, the strike restriction can disrupt combat plans, and removing the card costs that minion 2 blood or life. It is less attractive in a fast bleed deck, because playing it takes an action that could have advanced your own win condition. There is no strictly better replacement for its particular combination of effects, but **intercept cards such as Enhanced Senses** are generally more efficient if your main aim is to stop stealth actions; combat-focused decks likewise usually prefer cards that affect a fight immediately. I would play Decompose as an occasional metagame choice, especially against low-blood vampires or decks reliant on additional strikes, rather than as a core card.

The affected minion cannot play a card that provides an additional strike, even if just to benefit from another effect (e.g. {Acrobatics}). [LSJ 20011214-5]
