About Arcane Appraiser
Arcane Appraiser, Ally, designed by Tony Shasteen first released in May 2018 in the set Keepers of Tradition Reprint and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Arcane Appraiser is most useful in a Toreador deck that can reliably put opposing vampires into torpor and wants to steal their equipment without spending a vampire’s action; it is especially attractive when opponents commonly rely on valuable gear, and its unique-equipment clause can protect your own gear from duplicate copies. The closest alternative is **Vagabond Mystic**, which can take equipment from a torpor vampire as a +1 stealth action and is generally the better choice when you want a more durable, reusable minion; Arcane Appraiser’s advantage is that it is a zero-cost ally and its duplicate-equipment protection may be relevant. It is a niche inclusion rather than a staple: play it if your deck can exploit torpor and equipment theft, but otherwise use more broadly useful allies or actions.
