About Weakness

Weakness, Combat, designed by Randy Gallegos first released in May 1996 in the set Ancient Hearts.

Weakness is mainly for a dedicated Quietus/Banu Haqim combat or rush deck that expects to fight vampires carrying permanent Master: Discipline cards, since it can remove an important skill card and, at superior Quietus, also deal 1 damage; however, it is highly matchup-dependent, costs 1 blood, and uses your strike, so it is usually worse than broadly useful combat cards such as Wave of Lethargy, which taxes opposing maneuvers, presses, and strikes, or Taste of Vitae, which replenishes the blood spent in combat. ([myvca.appspot.com](https://myvca.appspot.com/browser/library/w.html?utm_source=openai)) I would not play Weakness in a general-purpose deck, and even in Quietus combat I would treat it as a one- or two-copy metagame choice rather than a staple; it becomes reasonable only if your local environment contains many vampires relying on Master: Discipline cards.
