About Vulnerability

Vulnerability, Master, designed by Mark Poole, Brian LeBlanc first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.

Vulnerability best fits a combat or torpor-control deck that can reliably put opposing vampires into torpor but lacks a dependable way to finish them, particularly decks built around Potence, enter combat effects, or repeated rushes; however, it is usually too narrow for competitive play because it costs a master phase, requires the vampire to already be in torpor, provides no pool or card advantage, and does not help you create that torpor state. Diablerie is generally better when legal and practical because it permanently removes the vampire while giving the diablerist blood and potentially useful trophies, while cards such as Dragonbound can turn repeated torpor results into ongoing pool damage; Golconda is better when you want to remove your own vampire from play while gaining pool, though it does not permanently burn an opposing vampire. Vulnerability can be reasonable as a metagame choice in a dedicated torpor-rush deck, especially against large vampires protected from diablerie,
