About Staredown
Staredown, Combat, designed by Kevin McCann first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
Staredown fits a **Presence-based bleed or vote deck** that wants its vampires to survive blocks without investing heavily in combat, especially when they have superior Presence and need a free way to end combat. **Majesty** is generally the better choice: at superior Presence it also ends combat and unlocks the vampire, letting it act again, though it costs blood. Staredown is worth considering if conserving blood matters, but its inferior-Presence dodge only avoids a strike—it does not get your vampire out of combat. I would play it as a budget or supplementary combat-defense card, not usually ahead of Majesty.
