About Specialization
Specialization, Master, designed by Drew Tucker first released in November 2003 in the set Black Hand and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Specialization fits a highly redundant deck—such as a combat or wall deck running many copies of the same cards—where duplicate cards sometimes clog your hand and you expect a long game. It can turn those unwanted copies into pool while replacing them, but gaining just 1 pool per turn is slow, and the duplicates must be genuinely expendable. If your main goal is pool gain, **Ascendance** gives 3 pool immediately, **Liquidation** gives 3 pool at the cost of library cards, and **Villein** is usually stronger when your vampires have spare blood. I’d generally leave Specialization out unless your deck consistently has duplicate cards it wants to discard and can make use of the ongoing hand cycling.
