About Shared Strength
Shared Strength, Combat, designed by Newel Anderson first released in February 2005 in the set Kindred Most Wanted.
Shared Strength is most useful in a combat-oriented deck that regularly sends vampires without Fortitude into combat while keeping another ready vampire out of combat, especially a toolbox or intercept-combat deck built around cards such as Rolling with the Punches, Skin Trap, Soak, or superior Fortitude prevention; it is much less attractive in dedicated Fortitude decks, where the discipline is already present. Its main alternatives are simply using vampires with Fortitude in the crypt or relying on discipline-independent combat cards such as Hidden Strength, which are more reliable because they do not require an extra ready vampire, an additional card, and 1 blood. Shared Strength is therefore generally weaker than those options and should not see routine play; it is a niche inclusion only when the deck has unusually strong reasons to give temporary Fortitude to off-discipline combat vampires and can consistently afford the setup.
