Rusticus (G5)

About Rusticus (G5)

Rusticus (G5), Vampire, designed by Vatche Mavlian first released in July 2018 in the set Heirs to the Blood Reprint and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Rusticus is primarily useful in a low-capacity Gargoyle or Tremere/Gargoyle slave deck that needs inexpensive vampires to swarm, provide additional blockers, or exploit Gargoyle-specific cards and Flight, but a 4-cap vampire with no disciplines or meaningful special ability is generally underpowered in constructed play; Flight alone does not compensate for the lack of bleed, stealth, combat, or master-action support. It is usually inferior to other cheap Gargoyles such as **Chandekian**, **Batu**, or **Rutor**, which provide actual disciplines and therefore contribute to a deck’s core actions, and it should normally not see play except as a budget option, a crypt filler in a dedicated Gargoyle swarm, or in a very narrow Tremere-slave build.
