About Resurrection
Resurrection, Action, designed by Steve Ellis first released in December 2001 in the set Bloodlines and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Resurrection primarily benefits an Obeah-based Salubri antitribu ally deck, especially one using disposable allies such as Nephandi or other high-impact allies, because the superior [OBE] effect brings a burned ally directly back into play unlocked; it can also be useful in a Valeren toolbox deck that repeatedly loses allies or in a vampire deck relying on valuable retainers, although those applications are less compelling. Its limitations are significant: it costs an action, requires an ally or retainer to have been burned since your last turn, and only the superior version provides immediate ally recovery, while the basic versions are relatively slow or narrow. It is generally worse than broad recursion and recovery options such as Ashur Tablets for sustained deck recycling, or dedicated ally-recursion cards when your deck can support them, but it has unique value as immediate, repeatable recursion from the ash heap. It should see play only in a dedicated Obeah ally deck or a focused
