About Necromancy

Necromancy, Master, designed by Anson Maddocks, Samuel Araya first released in December 1995 in the set Dark Sovereigns and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

The Eternal Struggle card that benefits low-to-mid range necromancer decks, allowing a vampire to gain +1 necromancy level and +1 capacity, but its restriction of not being put on vampires with superior Necromancy limits its utility on higher-level vampires. It's most effective when played on a vampire with base Necromancy 1-2, enabling efficient capacity and discipline growth, making it valuable in AUS or mixed decks that run Necromancy as a primary discipline. Compared to other Master cards like Dread of Midnight (which also boosts capacity but with different trade-offs) or direct capacity boosts like Blood of Dermo, Necromancy offers unique discipline acceleration, though cards like Sire's Gift or Ghoul's Curse often provide more flexible or potent advantages. It should see play in niche strategies focused on rapid necromancer development, but may be too situational for competitive meta decks expecting broader utility.
