About Hexe
Hexe, Combat, designed by Marian Churchland first released in February 2010 in the set Heirs to the Blood.
Hexe best fits decks that want a cheap, flexible combat strike—especially multiacting or toolbox decks that can use its 2R at [dai] or its aggravated damage at [str], with the superior version making that damage unpreventable. It is most attractive in a [Daimoinon]/[Strength] deck that lacks reliable aggravated-damage options, though its ordinary 2R is modest and its stronger modes depend on disciplines (and [str] is not itself a Discipline). Depending on the deck, dedicated alternatives such as Burst of Sunlight for aggravated damage or more efficient damage/prevention packages may be stronger; those cards are not universally better, since Hexe’s low cost and mode flexibility are useful. It is worth testing in a deck that can regularly access its [str]/[STR] modes, but is generally a marginal choice in a deck that would mostly use the basic 2R strike.
