Darksight

About Darksight

Darksight, Reaction, designed by Steve Prescott first released in October 2000 in the set Sabbat War and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

Darksight fits an **Obtenebration-heavy Lasombra wall or bleed-defense deck** that already wants to block and can spare the 1-cost payment. Its lasting -1 stealth penalty is useful against a repeat bleeder, but it only takes effect after you successfully block, applies only when that minion bleeds you, and can be removed by an action. If your vampires also have Auspex, **Enhanced Senses** is usually a better intercept card: it gives +1 intercept at basic Auspex or +2 at superior Auspex, without needing Darksight’s conditional payoff. **On the Qui Vive** is often a more important defensive slot because it lets a locked vampire attempt to block. Darksight is playable as a niche card in a dedicated blocking deck, but I would not treat it as a staple; try a copy or two only if your deck regularly makes blocks and needs more Obtenebration-based intercept.
