About Corpse Balloon
Corpse Balloon, Retainer, designed by Mark Nelson first released in November 2003 in the set Black Hand and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Corpse Balloon is best in a defensive deck with superior Vicissitude, especially a classic Tzimisce wall deck that wants to block bleeds, rushes, and actions targeting its vampires or allies: at [VIC], it provides permanent +1 intercept against directed actions for no blood or pool cost, plus an optional first-round maneuver after successfully blocking one, which helps the employer reach its preferred combat range. Its main drawback is that it does nothing against undirected actions, notably most political actions, hunts, and equipment or ally recruitment, so it cannot replace a wall deck’s broader intercept package; at basic [vic], the maneuver alone is usually too narrow to justify the action and card slot. For vampires with Animalism, **Raven Spy is generally the better all-purpose intercept retainer**, because its +1 intercept applies to both directed and undirected actions, although it costs 1 blood and provides no maneuver; **Bowl of Convergence** is another strong alternative fo
