About Chimerstry

Chimerstry, Master, designed by Mark Tedin, Samuel Araya first released in December 1995 in the set Dark Sovereigns and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

Chimerstry is mainly useful in a dedicated Ravnos or Chimerstry stealth/bleed deck, especially one built around small or mid-capacity vampires who have only basic Chimerstry: it upgrades them to superior Chimerstry while also increasing their capacity, improving both their available blood and their ability to use superior effects. However, it is generally weaker than simply including vampires who already have superior Chimerstry, since a master slot is valuable and the card provides no effect beyond the discipline increase; cards such as Information Highway, Dreams of the Sphinx, or Villein usually contribute more to the deck’s overall performance, while The Path of Chimerstry is the more comparable alternative if legal in your format and may be preferable in a low-capacity crypt. It should see play as a small number of copies—typically one to three—in a Chimerstry-focused deck with many basic-Chimerstry vampires, but it is not recommended for generic decks or builds whose key vampires
