Celerity

About Celerity

Celerity, Master, designed by Nicola Leonard, Greg Simanson, Peter Mohrbach first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 12 different ways.

Celerity fits a combat or multi-action deck whose key vampires start with inferior Celerity [cel] and benefit substantially from reaching superior [CEL], especially if the extra capacity also matters to your other cards. It is less attractive if those vampires already have superior Celerity, or if you need the upgrade only occasionally: spending a master-phase action on a permanent skill boost can be slower than simply choosing vampires with [CEL] in your crypt. **Sanguine Instruction** can be a better way to develop disciplines in a deck that can use it, because it does not consume a master-phase action, though it has its own requirements and costs an action instead. I would play Celerity only when upgrading specific vampires is central to the deck’s plan—not as a routine inclusion in every Celerity deck.
