About Vicissitude
Vicissitude, Master, designed by Alan Rabinowitz first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
Vicissitude is most useful in a Tzimisce deck built around vampires with inferior [vic] who need superior [VIC] for key cards: it upgrades one of them without spending an action, while the extra capacity is a modest bonus. It is less attractive if your main vampires already have superior Vicissitude, and a master-phase slot is a real cost even when the card costs no pool. Sanguine Instruction can be a better way to give a younger clanmate superior Vicissitude when you have a suitable teacher, though it requires an action and a more specific crypt. I would play Vicissitude as a small, targeted inclusion only if several important vampires need that upgrade; otherwise, use the slots for cards that advance the deck’s main plan.
