About Thin Blood

Thin Blood, Combat, designed by Brian LeBlanc first released in June 2001 in the set Final Nights and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Thin Blood is mainly useful in a dedicated Quietus combat or Banu Haqim combat/bleed deck that can reliably reach close range, since repeated blood depletion can leave opposing vampires unable to pay for disciplines, wake, or recover; however, paying 1 blood for only 1 blood burned at inferior Quietus is inefficient, and the one-per-round restriction further limits it. Theft of Vitae is usually the better inclusion because it can steal blood rather than merely burn it, effectively improving your vampire’s endurance while weakening the opponent, while Blood to Water is also worth considering as a more direct blood-denial alternative if available in your card pool. Thin Blood may see play as a small supplement in a dedicated blood-starvation strategy—particularly with superior Quietus, where it produces a favorable two-blood swing—but it generally should not be a staple or appear in ordinary combat decks.
