About Steadfastness
Steadfastness, Reaction, designed by Nicolas "Dimple" Bigot first released in May 2018 in the set Keepers of Tradition Reprint and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Steadfastness is a defensive utility card that mainly benefits **Fortitude-based wall, intercept, and toolbox decks**, especially those that already want to play reactions for blocking and need extra bleed protection, such as Fortitude intercept decks, ANI/FOR or AUS/FOR defensive builds, and some Giovanni, Salubri, Gangrel, or Samedi variants that can afford flexible defensive slots. Its strength is that it is **free**, does not require a lock, and has two modes: +1 intercept when you need to catch an action or [FOR] reduce a bleed by 1 when blocking is not possible. However, the card is somewhat mediocre because both effects are small; +1 intercept is often not enough against modern stealth packages, and -1 bleed reduction is usually inferior to dedicated options. For pure intercept, cards like entity["game_card","Eyes of Argus","Vampire: The Eternal Struggle reaction card"] (for AUS decks) or entity["game_card","Enhanced Senses","Vampire: The Eternal Struggle reaction card"] p
