About Siren's Lure
Siren's Lure, Action modifier, designed by Steve Prescott first released in December 2001 in the set Bloodlines and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Siren’s Lure fits a **Melpominee-heavy Daughters of Cacophony deck** that needs important bleed, vote, or other actions to get through; it is especially attractive if the deck can also win the combat it creates after the action. At superior Melpominee, the modifying vampire stays unlocked, making the card much stronger than its basic version. There is no strictly better replacement for Daughters: **Seduction** can prevent a chosen minion from blocking without causing combat, but it must be played when the action is announced, while Siren’s Lure answers an actual block attempt. **Elder Impersonation** and other Obfuscate stealth cards can be stronger in decks that have that discipline, but they are not natural substitutes for most Daughters. **Yes, it should see play** in a Melpominee deck—particularly one prepared for the resulting combat—but I would use it sparingly in a deck that cannot handle that fight. The [cel] option alone is generally too expensive at 2 blood for +1 stealth.
